Each year, the Council and a Corporate Member sponsor this fun and challenging event in which schools, individuals, corporations and other organizations compete for trophies AND bragging rights.  The secondary school team that comes in first place has a chance to go on to compete at the national level in Washington DC.  Don't miss out on the fun!!!


2010 WorldQuest High School Competition Winners

A total of fifteen teams competed to be the winning team of the 2010 WorldQuest competition.  Among the high school teams competing were Cape Elizabeth,  Casco Bay, Freeport, Greater Portland Christian, Greely,  Lake Region and Waynflete. College teams included Southern Maine Community College and University of New England.  Among the corporate teams were Agawam Council, Baker Newman Noyes, Bath Savings Bank, Fox Intercultural Consulting, Head & Associates, Joseph Keaney CPA, and UNUM.

This year’s categories were: Current Events; 20th Century World History; World Geography; Economics &Trade; Culture, Sports & Language; and Science, Health & Technology ....and the questions were challenging. When all the answers were tallied, Lake Region took first place, with Head & Associates coming in second overall.
