Maine International Resource Directory

The Maine International Resource Directory provides information on internationally-involved educational, governmental, and non-profit organizations which are either Maine-based or have Maine representatives. Many of Maine's international businesses may be also identified through their membership in the Maine International Trade Center. The Directory is published by the World Affairs Council of Maine to promote dialogue among those interested in international affairs, and to increase Maine’s capacity for public education in the field.

Directory entries are listed in alphabetical order, and each contains a brief description of the organization and its contact information.  Maine’s 207 area code is omitted for local telephone numbers.

Corrections and additions to the Directory are welcome and should be sent to the World Affairs Council at

This expanded and revised web publication of the Maine International Resource Directory was co-edited by former Education Chairman Matthew Gardner and former University of Southern Maine Intern Bradley Goodwin, and technical advice was provided by Executive Director Amy Holland.  A 2004 web-based edition was edited by Program Director Lorna Endreson, and the original 2000 printed edition was co-edited by Program Director Theo Dunfey and Mr. Gardner.

Directory entries are drawn primarily from the following sources:

  • Maine Department of Health and Human Services. Office of Multicultural Affairs. Multicultural Resources.  Augusta, Me., 2012.  Web edition.
  • The Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram.  Portland, Me.: MaineToday Media, 2008-present.
