Mike Lynch spent his professional career as a business development manager in high-tech companies running multi-million dollar businesses inside of multi-billion dollar companies. In 2009, he retired early and decided to join the Peace Corps with his wife as volunteers. In 2012, he became a Peace Corps Director in Ghana, West Africa and began his appreciation and understanding for the continent. He is currently retired (again) and teaches the course “Africa Since Independence” at USM's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.  He winters in Cape Town, South Africa and will have just returned before leading this lunch discussion.
