Is your organization holding an internationally focused event in Maine? The World Affairs Council of Maine is eager to promote global goings on around the state. If you would like to include your event on our calendar please email an event title, description, registration information (or link) and contact information to info@wacmaine.org at least two-weeks in advance. We will need two to three days to review and approve community submission.

First Hand Impressions of the Path to Peace in the Middle East

Freeport Speech will gather three individuals with extraordinary insight into the peace process for a discussion about finding peace in the Middle East. On August 27th at 7pm, at the Freeport Performing Arts Center, Martin Fletcher, former NBC News Tel Aviv Bureau Chief and award winning author, and Aaron David Miller, an American Middle East analyst, author, and negotiator at the State Department, will have an open conversation moderated by NPR’s International Affairs Correspondent, Jackie Northam.
