Great Decisions 2025: U.S. Foreign Policy at a Crossroads

Greenland Navigates: Autonomy, Climate, and U.S. Foreign Policy

On March 11, 2025, Greenlanders head to the polls in the face of growing demands for independence and repeated calls from President Trump to bring the self-governing territory under U.S. control. How will the outcome shape the future of the world’s largest island? Join us Tuesday, March 18th to hear renowned scholars Amanda Lynch and Charles Norchi explore Greenland’s delicate balancing act amidst its own aspirations for self-determination, increased geopolitical competition in the Arctic, and a rapidly changing climate.
